Competency Training: Weapons Familiarisation

This course is designed to equip the itinerant with the necessary skills and knowledge to fit into the safety systems of the vessel and company. They will be sufficiently familiar with these systems and will also be aware of where to access additional information to broaden this basic knowledgeRenew your security certificate.

Allow around 2 hours. This includes travel to and from the shooting range for your Practical. As well as to do the physical assembling and disassembling the various firearms.
We operate all year round - Subject to availability. Only 8am slots! Closed: Mondays. New years day, Good Friday, 24th Dec & Christmas day. We take a mid winter break for maintenance and a breather

We shoot Rain or Shine - Should the Weather be too bad to shoot, we offer Vouchers, valid for 12 months. No refunds.
Wear something comfortable with comfortable shoes. Always bring along something warm - the wind can get chilly.
Don't forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat to protect you from the sun.
Spectators R150 per person - Subject to available transport.

Must be familiar with shooting. On successful completion of the course and demonstration of competence, a certificate will be issued certifying that the holder has met the standards of competence. Course certificate is valid for 12 months.

Inclusive of: Course material, firearms, ammo and practical shoot. Issuing of Certificate.
